The story of a family, including a husband, wife, 2 young children and an elderly mother, highlights the critical importance of 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 & 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 

The husband, at the 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟱, was diagnosed with 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟰 𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 and given a prognosis of just 𝟲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲. He was the primary breadwinner for the household, which included two young children aged 1 and 6. He had 𝗡𝗢 insurance coverage, but fortunately, his employer provided excellent insurance benefits. The chemotherapy he underwent had side effects that caused him to 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲, leading to his 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀. His wife had to take on 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀 to compensate for the lost income, which meant she couldn't spend as much 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 with their children.

The husband, 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁, had been a senior engineer before his voice loss, but was 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 to take a job as a janitor in a mall as 𝗡𝗢 employers were willing to hire him. This challenging situation persisted for 𝟭𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 until the husband eventually 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆, leaving behind an 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗛𝗗𝗕 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻, as he had battled cancer at too early an age, and even HPS (Home Protection Scheme) did not offer coverage for him. Their children took on part-time jobs to help with the final expenses, 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻𝘀 for university education, and eventually managed to pay off the mortgage loan. 

This story is of my parents and my wish is 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘, for other families to 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 have to endure the hardship that my family faced through 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 & 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.
